I hold a wide variety of interests, therefore my movie taste is all over the place. I will just be giving my top 5 favorite movies because otherwise this could go on forever.
The Wolf of Wall Street (Top of the list!!)
This is the number one movie for me. It incorporates action, crime, and just all over fun. I saw this when it first came out 5 years ago and have watched it a countless amount of times since. This is my favorite movie of all time because of the story line, interesting plot, and, of course, Leo. I also really like him in the Great Gatsby although I am not one to watch that a million times. If you have never watched this movie go give it a try NOW!! You will not regret it I promise.
Yes, it is a holiday movie but it is one I can watch anytime and it will cheer me up. Bing Crosby is a favorite actor and singer of mine and this movie shows the best of both worlds. My grandma actually introduced me to this movie when I was very little and I watch it multiple times every year since then. I am, however, a complete lover of Christmas and the Christmas season so this plays into that very well.
The concept of this movie is hilarious and even though it has older humor it still makes me laugh every time. I think that this is another must see because wrapped inside of a funny and crazy plot is a good lesson. Eddie Murphy never fails to bring everything to the table as a comedian and actor and Dan Aykroyd is a very welcomed addition to his character as well.
I think that for most people my age this movie is considered a classic. Normally whenever I, or someone else, references it everyone in the room knows what we are talking about; and that says a lot. It isn’t often that a movie stretches across genres and interests to become one that everyone loves; this one really does the job. From my list so far you can really tell I love feel good movies and this one is definitely up there.
Action is my favorite genre and with a cast that has George Clooney and Brad Pitt you could never go wrong. I really love Oceans Eleven and Twelve but Thirteen has to be my favorite because of the complexity and I just really dislike Bank from the start. I know a lot of people who don’t want to watch these movies because there are so many, the plots are very complex, and the movies are so long but it is all worth it; I promise.
Well those are my top 5 of all time but I would like to start reviewing some new ones as they come along since I know I will end up watching them anyway. So let me know if that is something you would like to read from time to time. And by the way, what are your top 5 movies of all time??
