Makeup Hack: Baking

So this is something that became a huge trend over a year ago where you put tons of powder on your concealer spots and then brush it off to reveal a flawless face.

As you can see about you apply lots of translucent powder everywhere you put concealer and then let it sit for 5-10 minutes. So lets discuss what it does…

  • The heat from your face gets trapped in the powder and then flawlessly blends your foundation and concealer into your skin.
  • The powder sets the face intensely so that is stays matte all day

There isn’t too much to it but I can tell you from experience it does really work. I use to do this daily because it sets things so well and gives that flawless finish. The downside is that your makeup will feel heavier all day and may be more drying and cakey. Therefore I now only use it when I do full glam looks.

I wanted to add some dupes for buying high end powder to do this with since you are using so much every time. Substitutes include:

  • Baby powder: This works just like normal setting powder and will keep the oil off your face everyday.
  • Corn Starch: I originally bought this to use for a dry shampoo but it turns out it works great as translucent face powder!

Let me know if you have tried this and if you like it!

Bye All!
