Title might be a little intense…but thats how I roll.
This is an odd post for me but I recently started watching all of the old “Playlist” tags on youtube and that got me into thinking about the music I listen to and have for years and years. I have quite an odd taste in music to say the least but I 500% blame my dad for that. Growing up I would just download whatever he suggested and now they are still on my playlist today.
I know my music posts haven’t done too well before but you know what, I want to write this so I am. This seemed like a fun and stress free post to write about and thats all it really takes for me to want to write about something, so here goes nothing!
“She Talks To Angels” — The Black Crowes
This song has semi depressing lyrics but the tune really gets into your soul…if that even makes sense….
For having a depressing story within it really does a good job of upping my mood and just gives me all the feels.
Its like an all-in-one song.
“The Weight” — The Band
This song is one that has a huge deeper meaning but even without looking into that it is such a meaningful song.
Another one that gets you deep in the feels.
It can bring back any memories and fit perfectly; that is something I love.
“Into The Mystic” — Van Morrison
This one….just listen to it. No matter what you are doing it is worth the few minutes it will take to listen to it.
No promises it won’t make you cry.
Click on the link for the youtube video of the song and just scroll through some of the comments….
This song related to so many memories for me and made me tear up already but reading those comments made it even more intense.
This is one of those songs where you can see how music really just brings everyone together and it has no barriers.
“Tupelo Honey” — Van Morrison
Van Morrison is someone who’s music just puts everything into perspective. He doesn’t sugar coat things or sing about stuff that is ridiculous…he sings relaxing and heartfelt songs.
This is a happier one of his songs and I think it is just beautiful.
I am a sucker for love songs tho….
“We Can Work It Out” — The Beatles
“Life is very short and theres no time for fussing and fighting my friend”
That little quote gets me…thats one of those whenever I am feeling frustrated or down and out this song can change that because I realize what I am worried about doesn’t really matter all that much.
With the upbeat tempo it just helps get me out of any bad mood and of course its The Beatles so it is amazing anyway.
“Penny Lane” — The Beatles
Honestly…I have no idea what is going on in this song but I love the tune and scream/sing every word so I had to put it in here.
This (forgive me for saying this) gets me pumped when I listen to it. Like other people listen to trap music or something before a night out…I listen to this.
“Lady Madonna” — The Beatles
The tune is incomparable to any other song. Very energizing and happy.
This is one of those songs I listen to in the morning to wake me up and get me in a happy mood for the day.
Needless to say I like The Beatles a lot and have a ton of their songs on my playlist but this one is one I click on no matter what mood I am in cause it can change any of my moods.
“Drive My Car” — The Beatles
Okay, this is the last Beatles one for this list, I promise!!
I think this song is so underrated. I hear it from time to time but not as much as I hear other Beatles songs and why the hell not?!
It is such a fun and simple song…and once again The Beatles and their voices…um I need no other points here.
“Moneytalks” — ACDC
This speaks a good lesson about how much people care about money and how much it really doesn’t matter.
Also it is one of their more light hearted songs and I love it for that too.
AC/DC is the one group where I know almost all the words to all their songs because I listen to them wayyyyyy wayyyyyy too much.
“Goodnight Saigon” — Billy Joel
This is one of the few songs that makes me cry like every time.
I am not a sappy person…I do not cry easily…so I don’t know why this song does that to me but it is amazing.
Billy Joel knows how to honor people as well as get a great reaction from his audience and he does it perfectly in this song.
“Don’t Kill My Vibe” — Sigrid
I thought I should add at least one modern song in this list so here it is.
She has an amazing voice and the message of this song is great!!
It will boost your confidence any day, any time. Please have a listen!
