Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. The fashion, the weather, the makeup, the foods, the holidays, and the overall atmosphere. I think that the blustery, crunchy leaf, spooky season is the best one out there. Because of this, and because I like to wear layers, most of my closet subscribes to fall fashion looks.
To me it seems as if every year there are new trends for summer, winter, and spring but fall fashion seems to stay true to what it has always been. In my interpretation fall fashion is layers, warm toned colors, boots, and jeans. If you are looking for some suggestions on fall fashion essentials then you came to the right place, just keep reading.
I want to start off by stating the colors I tend to lean towards in the fall season. I really am a lover of burnt orange, burgundy/maroon, and navy blue. These are definitely my three favorites to mix in with brown tones in order to create that classic fall look that I want.
The oversized scarf is a staple for many fall looks. There are many like the ones pictured that are plaids of red and black or brown and there are many in maroon or burnt orange colors that are knitted. I think any of these simply bring a whole outfit together and create a much cozier look.
Oversized sweaters are great for both fall and winter, I just change the color scheme I wear for those seasons. In fall I like to pair oversized sweaters with jeans and boots rather than leggings just because jeans have that more outdoorsy and adventure feel that I think goes well with fall.
Long cardigans with baggy tees or basic tank tops work great for fall as well. They give you that flowing feeling and look while still keeping you warm and comfy. They can easily help to dress up and add to any outfit since they come in a variety of colors and lengths. I think that normal length cardigans are great for fall too but if I had to choose I would lean more towards longer ones.
Booties have to be my favorite kind of shoe. In fall they look so great with a knitted sock sticking out the top or with your jeans rolled up a bit. I have multiple pairs of brown booties as well as some velvety maroon and green ones that I wear non stop all fall season.
Last but not least is dark denim for fall. Wether it be ripped or not it looks great with the orange and burgundy shades of fall. They also work great with booties and boots since I normally lean towards skinny jeans.
